Lazaro Perez, designer of the Lazaro and Tara Keely collections botero is considered as one of the leading designers of bridal industry. He graduated from the Ray College of Design, Illinois Institute of Art. Lazaro caught the attention of one of the premier bridal salon in Chicago, when he was awarded "Best New Bridal Design" in all three categories, bride, bridesmaid , and mother of the bride. His design talent soon took him to New York, where he worked for some homes featured brides.
Soon after, Joseph Murphy brought to Lazaro JLM group and in 1994 launched the collection, Lazaro bridal gowns and bridesmaid. In February 2010, Lazaro was also named head designer of Tara Keely.
Lazaro's work has often been recognized by the fashion industry and national average. In 2001, he was awarded the Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry (DEBI) in the category of "Inovatdr style for wedding dresses" and "Designer of the Year" and in 2004 received the Lazaro Bridal Couture Award in the category of bridesmaid honor. Lazaro frequently appears on "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC of New York (a program that I like to see) and Atlanta, botero and WEtv "Girl Meets Dress." Their projects have been featured on The Today Show, Good Day LA, American Latino TV and Fox Business's "Happy Hour". It is really a great creator and worth seeing some of their models.
