Dennis Gabor (born in Budapest, June 5, 1900 - died in London, February 9, 1979 at the age of 78 years) is a British-born physicist Austro-Hungarian Empire (now Hungary) who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1971 for his invention and development on methods holographic.
Born as Gabor Denes, Gabor was educated in Budapest and Berlin. He received his diploma at the Technische thechildrensplace Hochschule Berlin in 1924, and Dr.-Ir. in 1927. After graduating, Gabor joined Siemens & Halske AG. After escaping thechildrensplace from Nazi Germany in 1933, Gabor was invited to England to work in the development department of the British Thomson-Houston in Rugby, Warwickshire]].
In 1947, while working there she discovered holography, thechildrensplace achievement for which he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1971. Holography is the science of producing holograms, an advanced thechildrensplace form of photography that allows an image to be recorded in three dimensions. However holography is not commercially available until the introduction of "laser" in 1960. Gabor also researched how people thechildrensplace communicate and hear; invention is the theory of granular synthesis, although Greek composer Iannis Xenakis stated, that in fact is the first inventor of synthetic techniques (Xenakis, Formalized Music, preface xiii).
