Nottingham-guy Jake Bugg released last year, their self-titled debut album. He gave country music a whole new face and stood for one of 2012's strongest releases. Self, I described it, in Popmanis seasonal best list, as "a debut album like no other." It was a debut album that did bug worthy of comparisons to the likes of Bob Dylan and Donovan. 13 months later, Jake Bugg already back with the sequel. It pains me almost having to key in the following words: he should have waited.
Honest Jake Bugg kicks off Shangri La with equally honest There's A Beast And We All Feed It. Bugg has always been quick to say what he thinks of the music industry's lying units, which is exactly veste what the opening track is about. Precisely because it is ironic that bug myself have fallen victim to the same scam. I get the feeling that the 19-year-old music miracle had to push a sequel while he still has his secure veste place in the spotlight. veste Half of the tracks consist of exceptional gems. Me And You is an evidence that genuine, accurate veste ballads are one of Buggs strengths, as well as A Song About Love and Kitchen Table. In Slum Ville Sunrise and Messed Up Kids we hear Bugg make what has become his signature, that with his raspy voice tell us about England's slums, with a skill that makes him one of a kind. The remaining half of the tracks sneaks unnoticed and makes Buggs immense talent is anything but fair.
The following lines are an open message to Mr Bugg: Dear Jake Bugg, you'll have all the potential you need to Achieve veste the same triumph as the great names you are Compared to, but keep in mind That a masterpiece takes time. Let That Be a lesson for album number three.
