Among the sold-out DJ gigs and obstinate Apple junkies extends Jake Bugg a hand from a factory town in England. On Münchenbryggeriet is the high ceiling and when Bugg step on stage, he does it with a palpable shame that the audience gets to sweat. After the critically acclaimed debut album has gone quickly for Jake Bugg, maybe a little too quickly. His stage language, apart from a few tentative lunge with Telecaster guitar, lagerfeld nonexistent and audience contact is zero. Between the incessant guitar spoils he thanks us quietly for the applause but the distance is there, Jake Bugg hiding behind the Beatles bangs without any attractive charisma. Some refreshed guys with me desperately trying to get off the concert by jumping to the beat of Slum Ville Sunrise from the new album and then I think I catch a glimpse of a smile at Nottingham son.
He tears off his songs in a frightful pace without really touch someone significantly, except when he touches the high expectations of the song Broken where Bugg look towards the sea of people and the voice sounds fill the whole room and enthrall the audience for a moment. Best is Bugg as he may stand by himself with an acoustic guitar in strong backlighting and play songs from the first album as Country Song and Slide. Secure card Trouble Town, Lightning Bolt and Two Fingers tags received with great enthusiasm, it's nice and a bit touching to see söderhipsters feverishly trying to sing along to the dialectal difficult lot in Trouble Town.
